All the safe routes that were once traveled regularly have now been damaged or blocked. Rock slides, cave ins, or even things that are obviously unnatural have erased any easy route through the southern part of the Gorevang mountain range. It is unknown how many ranks of demon are present within the peaks but it is guessed to possess the usual low categories with a slight possibility for a lone high rank in the more secluded areas. The southern range is also a bit warmer than its northern counterpart but that just increases the chance of them moving.
On the eastern side, just southwest of Hophzdea, there is a dip in the mountains where one can find one end of the Gorevang mine. A small facility remains standing near its entrance, just like on the western side of the mountains. Various tools lay scattered throughout the area but the building itself has been smashed in, leaving little more accessible than part of a table and a chair. The western facility suffered a similar fate and is even less usable having collapsed completely under a ton of fallen rock that spans to the edge of the nearby river. The landslide was obviously not from the top of the mountains, as not enough area was covered with rock. Bits of the roof can still be seen as well as a small crawl space that is not the entrance of the mines.
The mines themselves are damp and barely standing up. Several parts have caved in or look like they could at any moment. A synthetic river used to flow along the side but now with all the wear on the mine it is merely a pool of stagnant water that sits nearer the western end. The area hasn't been explored, but it wouldn't be a bad place for something that wanted to be alone.
